Its launch aligns with the promotion of Wizarding World, a new multi-platform game by Warner Brothers.
The device arrives in a lavishly decorated box resembling a prop from the Harry Potter universe. Upon opening, an acceptance letter is revealed on the left side, while the smartphone sits on the right, beneath an ornate card. The package also includes a charger, HP-themed stickers, a copy of the Marauder's Map, a faux leather case, and a SIM ejector tool sporting the iconic 9¾ symbol.
The phone's appearance is purely cosmetic, similar to other themed smartphones, as its internal specs remain unchanged. The device features a 6.67-inch display with a 12-bit flexible OLED panel and an FHD+ resolution, with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor with up to 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a 3725mm vapor cooling chamber to regulate temperature. It runs on a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging, and it would be interesting to see if it comes with an HP-themed fast-charging animation using the lightning-bolt scar design.
The phone's cameras feature a clever Potter-inspired design, with the two primary lenses resembling Harry's round glasses and his iconic scar above them. The primary lens is a 64MP shooter with OIS support, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro shooter. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 16MP for selfies.
