The Flydigi Apex 5 × Neon Genesis Evangelion EVA-02 Edition is an officially licensed (©khara) wireless force feedback controller in a translucent red shell inspired by Asuka's Evangelion Unit-02, with Asuka artwork on the right grip, EVANGELION on the left, gold ABXY buttons and stick collars and a green light strip. The back carries an EVA-02 logo and gold back paddles.
The front 150fps color screen shows a sync rate that climbs from 000.00% with every button press, and the built-in speaker plays Asuka voice lines at power-on, while charging on the dock and when your sync rate reaches 400%. The included charging dock has its own dot-matrix 02 display, making this Evangelion controller a collector's piece that is built to play.
Hall-effect force feedback triggers recreate throttle resistance, terrain and drift in racing games and recoil in shooters, with support for more than 60 titles including Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5 and Elden Ring. The Flydigi Apex 5 also brings force-adjustable alloy joysticks (30–100 gf) rated for over 20 million cycles, asymmetric impulse motors, six-axis motion sensing, a 216MHz main chip, and four back buttons plus two extra shoulder buttons with custom mapping and macros.
This controller with a screen connects by USB-C, Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless through the NearLink receiver at 1000Hz, with about 3 ms wired and 5 ms wireless latency, and is set up through the Flydigi Space Station app. The Asuka Limited Premium Collector's Box also includes an EVA limited figure, an EVA bag case, an Asuka character card, high-rise joysticks, a replaceable D-pad, M3 and M4 back paddles and a 1.8 m braided USB-C cable.
