The OPPO Band EVA is an Evangelion co-branded wristband built around Unit-02. The black body has an OPPO logo set in a gold-tone metal ring, which lets the body pop out for a floating look, and the black and red strap carries hazard stripes, Production Model-02 lettering and a gold 02. Eight custom EVA watch faces are ready to swipe through, including a red NERV leaf face with yellow battery bars. It is an affordable way to wear Evangelion merch every day.
The presentation feels like opening a classified file. The red box has a Unit-02 relief and a one-time confidential seal, and the black inner box is printed Evangelion, EVA02 Production Model in red. Along with the band, you get a sports strap and a charging dock. Unlike the standard OPPO Band, the EVA edition has NFC, with transit cards, access cards and Alipay payments, although these services are for use in China rather than tap-to-pay in the US.
For daily tracking, the 1.1-inch curved AMOLED display at 126 x 294 runs on an Apollo 3 chip, with heart rate, blood oxygen monitoring, sleep tracking and 12 sports modes, plus call and message alerts and music control. The 100 mAh battery is rated for up to 14 days and charges in about 1.5 hours. It connects over Bluetooth 5.0 to Android 6.0 or iOS 10.0 and later, and it is rated to 5ATM.
