This Evangelion watch is the OPPO Watch EVA Limited Edition, a run of 10,000 units built around Asuka and Unit-02 in red and black. The 46 mm aluminum case is red with amber-orange side buttons, and the two-tone strap pairs a red top with Evangelion lettering and yellow markings with a black lower half carrying a yellow 2 and the red NERV leaf logo. Three dynamic EVA watch faces come preloaded, including an Asuka face with NERV lettering.
It is the kind of Evangelion merch that looks right out of the box. The red gift box has a large Unit-02 relief, with the ©khara mark on the artwork and the Limited Edition name on the insert card. Inside you find the watch, a second red and black fluororubber strap, an Evangelion booklet and a round charging dock marked 02. The dock shows an EVA-style charging screen when the watch is in place, so even topping up the battery stays on theme.
As a smartwatch, it has a 1.91-inch dual-curved AMOLED display at 402 x 476 with 100% DCI-P3 color. A Snapdragon Wear 2500 and an Apollo 3 low-power chip run ColorOS Watch with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Battery life reaches up to 40 hours in Smart Mode or up to 21 days in Low Power Mode, and VOOC charging goes from 1% to 50% in 17 minutes. It is water resistant to 50 meters.
